Where do you work?

We are the Awana missionaries for North Dakota, South Dakota and northern Minnesota.  You can write it: ND, SD and MN.

What is your job?

One of our main jobs is to talk with churches that are thinking about starting Awana.  You can write it: Present Awana.

Questions you might choose.

Do you have children?

We have 2 married children and 2 grandchildren.

Do you have pets?

Yes.  We have 2 horses, Sadie and Star.

Do you like your job?

Most of the time.

Who started Awana?

When did Awana start?

1950

Why did Awana start?

To reach families with the gospel.

Why did you become Awana missionaries?

God wanted us to.  After praying and talking with others, we believed this is the job God wanted us to have.

How long have you been Awana missionaries?

Since 1985.

Have you been in other countries?

Yes.  Zimbabwe, England, Portugal, and Canada.

How old are you?

That’s one question we won’t answer!!!!

Where do you live?

Alfred, ND.  It is a small community of 11 people southwest of Jamestown, ND.

How many churches are using Awana?

In our area 126 churches.  More than 10,000 churches use Awana across the United States and churches in over 110 countries around the world use Awana.

What do you like most about your job?

Marcy: Visiting clubs and meeting clubbers and leaders.

Arlyn: Helping leaders be the best they can be.

What do you like the least about your job?

Marcy: Being away from home so much.

Arlyn: Paperwork for reports.

Do you like to hunt and fish?

Marcy: No.

Arlyn: I like to hunt deer.

Do you like to read books?

Arlyn and Marcy: Yes!

Do you have any hobbies?

Marcy: Rubber stamping my own cards and scrapbook.

Arlyn: Create files on the computer, work on the house and in the yard.
